Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle to Command Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con 2025 with Star-Studded Panel and Exclusive Preview
As anticipation builds for the global premiere of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle, the iconic anime franchise is preparing for a major spotlight moment at San Diego Comic-Con 2025. One of the convention’s most prestigious venues, Hall H, will play host to an exclusive panel on Saturday, July 26 at 5:45 p.m., bringing together some of the series' most influential creators and talent. This marks a landmark event for Demon Slayer fans in the U.S. and around the world, especially as the movie inches closer to its international debut.
Headlining the panel are several key figures behind the Demon Slayer phenomenon. Director Haruo Sotozaki, Director of Photography Yuichi Terao, and voice actor Natsuki Hanae, who voices protagonist Tanjiro Kamado in Japanese, will all be in attendance. Joining them will be Aleks Le, the English voice of Zenitsu Agatsuma, and musical sensation LiSA, who has performed multiple iconic theme songs for the series, including the breakout hit “Gurenge.” The panel promises to offer fans an exclusive look at scenes from Infinity Castle, insights into the film's production, and behind-the-scenes stories from the cast and creators.
Notably, this Hall H panel will be the first time representatives from anime studio ufotable have visited the United States since Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba first aired in 2019. Their presence highlights the film's significance not only to the anime industry but also to the global entertainment community. The studio is renowned for its cinematic animation style and breathtaking fight choreography, which have become hallmarks of the Demon Slayer franchise.
Beyond the Hall H event, Crunchyroll will also be celebrating the film at its SDCC booth (#4135) with immersive fan experiences and interactive displays based on Infinity Castle. These attractions will allow attendees to step into the world of Demon Slayer, interact with props and visuals from the film, and participate in themed activities throughout the convention weekend.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle will officially premiere in Japan on July 18, 2025. Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment have confirmed that the film will begin its global rollout in August, with theatrical screenings in the United States and Canada beginning on September 12. Additional international release dates are expected to be announced on the movie's official website in the weeks ahead, as excitement continues to mount across fan communities worldwide.
The film is once again helmed by director Haruo Sotozaki, with character design and chief animation direction by Akira Matsushima. The score is composed by the acclaimed duo Yuki Kajiura and Go Shiina, who have consistently delivered emotionally charged and memorable music throughout the series. Animated by ufotable, Infinity Castle is poised to raise the bar yet again for anime films.
For fans following the series, the film continues the story from where the Hashira Training Arc left off. Tanjiro Kamado, once a kindhearted boy whose family was slaughtered by demons, has undergone a profound transformation since joining the Demon Slayer Corps. Motivated by the hope of restoring his demon-turned sister Nezuko to humanity, Tanjiro has grown stronger with each passing arc—both physically and emotionally—through countless battles and painful losses.
Throughout his journey, Tanjiro has developed close bonds with fellow demon slayers Zenitsu Agatsuma and Inosuke Hashibira. Alongside them, he has joined forces with the elite Hashira—the Demon Slayer Corps' most powerful swordsmen—taking on terrifying demons in each new location. From his confrontation with Akaza aboard the Mugen Train alongside Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku, to fierce battles in the Entertainment District with Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui, and later in the Swordsmith Village alongside Mist Hashira Muichiro Tokito and Love Hashira Mitsuri Kanroji, Tanjiro’s resilience and determination have only intensified.
The Hashira Training Arc depicted the Corps’ final preparations for their ultimate confrontation with the demon threat. As the Hashira and their fellow warriors underwent intense physical and mental training to strengthen their unity and skills, a dark cloud loomed over them. That cloud took shape in the form of Muzan Kibutsuji—the original demon and the series’ central antagonist—who launched a surprise attack on the Ubuyashiki Mansion, home of the Demon Slayer Corps leader.
In a desperate bid to save their leader and counter Muzan's assault, Tanjiro and the Hashira rushed to the headquarters, only to be pulled into an eerie and unfamiliar realm: the Infinity Castle. Constructed by Muzan’s most loyal demon servant, Nakime, the Infinity Castle is a surreal, shifting fortress filled with traps and lurking enemies. It is within this demonic labyrinth that the final confrontation begins, setting the stage for an epic clash between humanity’s most skilled demon slayers and the full might of Muzan’s army.
As Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle moves toward its theatrical release, the stakes have never been higher. The movie will serve as the culmination of years of storytelling and character development, delivering a finale that is expected to be both emotionally devastating and visually breathtaking. With the full creative force of ufotable behind it and the core voice cast returning, the film promises to leave a lasting impression on audiences worldwide.
For fans attending San Diego Comic-Con 2025, the Hall H panel represents a rare opportunity to witness the passion and artistry behind one of anime’s biggest global franchises up close. Between the panel, exclusive previews, and on-site experiences, Demon Slayer is poised to be one of the biggest attractions at this year’s convention—and a highlight of the 2025 anime calendar.
